Who am I?

Hey! It’s nice to meet you. I’m Kelly Brong and I specialize in the art of taxidermy. Art can come in many forms and I’ve somehow found myself on the furthest end of that spectrum. But not only by way of taxidermy! I graduated from Kutztown University in 2019 with a BFA in graphic design. After several years working various design-centric jobs, my favorite being Crayola, I decided it was time to take this knowledge and pursue a newfound passion; Taxidermy. Growing up around horses, I found an early love and fascination for the animal world and it felt like a natural transition. After many years of schooling, apprenticing and countless hours on restorative work, I am now now able to provide restorative services for museums, private collectors and yes, even that old buck your Grandpa shot in the 70’s.

With a profession like taxidermy, you’re bound to have a few side quests, and my story is no different! Last year I was able to add “Transport & Care for Roy Roger’s taxidermy horse’s” to my resume. My team and I took extra special care of Trigger, Buttermilk and Bullet on their journey from Fort Worth Texas to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Los Angles, CA.

At this time I am not taking on direct commercial taxidermy commissions, but you can find most of my work available in person at Rest in Pieces in Richmond, VA.
